Phrase puzzle

What you need

• A whiteboard
• A die or a dice app

How to play

1. The host writes dashes for a phrase ("Let’s take this offline").
2. On your turn, roll the die and call a consonant: each time it appears, you earn the roll × 10.
3. Miss and the turn passes. You may spend 50 points to buy a vowel.
4. Solve the phrase to keep your points; most points after five phrases wins.

Office tip: Office catchphrases make great puzzles; everyone recognises them half-way through.
