Build a bridge
Teams build a bridge between two desks from paper, tape and straws. It has to hold a mug. Planning beats panic.

What you need
- Per team: paper, tape, straws or skewers
- Two chairs or tables as banks
- A mug or a stapler to test with
How to play
- Set two banks a set distance apart, say 40 cm.
- Give each team the same supplies and 5 minutes to plan without touching anything.
- Build for 15 minutes.
- Test each bridge with a mug, then add weight until it fails. Strongest bridge wins.
Office tip: Ask each team how they split the work afterwards. The answers are a retrospective in miniature.
