Drawing games
Blind sketching
Sit back to back: one person describes a picture, the other draws it without seeing it. A test of how well you explain things, disguised as a game.
- Players
- 2–20, in pairs
- Time
- 10–15 min
What you need
- Paper and pens
- Simple pictures to describe (printed, or on a phone)
How to play
- Pairs sit back to back; one gets a picture, the other a blank sheet.
- The describer explains the picture using shapes and positions, but never says what it is.
- After three minutes, compare the drawing to the original.
- Swap roles with a new picture. The room votes for the closest match.
Office tip: It doubles as a lesson in giving clear instructions. Nobody needs to know that.
